Ruth Goetten, 84, a two-month resident of San Jose, Calif., died March 12, 2007, at her home.
Mrs. Goetten was born Sept. 10, 1922, in Fredonia, Wis., to Anton "Andy" and Ida Weber Mayer.
She married Peter Goetten on June 16, 1945, in Milwaukee.
Before moving to San Jose, Mrs. Goetten lived in Carson City for 18 years.
She volunteered at the Carson City Senior Citizens Center and the Computer Learning Center of Carson City. She enjoyed baking, sewing quilting, traveling, crossword puzzles, cooking and volunteering.
She worked at AO Smith and Blue Cross of Milwaukee.
She was preceded in death by her sister, Ethel.
Among her survivors are her husband; daughter Shelley Rosiak-Neal; and sons Michael and Richard Goetten.
Chapel of the Hills in Los Gatos, Calif., is in charge of arrangements.
