The Ormsby Sportsmen's Association (OSA), a local organization for hunters and fishermen, will meet at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday evening, May 15, at the Carson Nugget Convention Center.
The evening will feature Jim Herndon, Deputy Chief Game Warden, of the Nevada Department of Wildlife.
Herndon will present a program on the current activities of Operation Game Thief (OGT), Nevada's official anti-poaching program.
This will be the last indoor meeting for the sportsmen's club until October.
During the four months of June-Sept., OSA has a monthly picnic at Mills Park, held on the third Tuesday evening of each month.
All OSA meetings, functions and activities are family-oriented, free of charge and open to all club members and to anyone else who is interested in the outdoors, hunting, fishing, camping, etc.
The annual membership dues are $5 for adults and $2 for youngsters under the age of 16.
