Sophomore Brittany Puzey, a Douglas HIgh graduate, was named to the All-Western Athletic Conference first team in softball on Wednesday. The all-conference team was voted on by the conference's seven head coaches.
Puzey was named to the team as an outfielder. In Nevada's 18 conference games, Puzey hit .404 with six home runs, five doubles and 18 RBI.
Also for Nevada, outfieder Sarah Hunt, second baseman Kym Silagyi and designated player Michelle Beach were all named to the second team. The four players honored was the most ever for Nevada.
