A celebration of life for Kristi Jonette Grubbe, 55, a Carson City resident since 1986, will be noon-6 p.m. Tuesday at her home.

Mrs. Grubbe died May 10, 2007, in Carson City. She was born June 19, 1951, in Seattle, Wash., to Edwin and Geraldine Grubbe.

She married Ken J. Murty on April 13, 1985, in Las Vegas.

Before moving to Carson City, she lived in San Diego.

She worked as a dental hygienist for Dr. Michael Fischer in Gardnerville for 22 years. She was a member of the Nevada Dental Hygienist Association.

She enjoyed drag racing, and her dogs.

She was preceded in death by her mother.

Among her survivors are her husband, of Carson City; father and his wife, Pam, of Bishop, Calif.; sister and brother-in-law Valerie and Bill Anderson of Mammoth Lakes, Calif.; and niece and nephew Shelby and Scotty Anderson.

Walton's Chapel of the Valley is in charge of arrangements.
