Virginia City High School art students recently completed works on the impacts and losses due to drug and alcohol abuse. The project, titled "Community Awareness," was sponsored by a Virginia City resident who wanted the students to use art as a way to bring about awareness.

Each student produced two pieces, one about the perils of drug use and a companion piece focused on what is lost because of drug use. The works will be on display at the Comstock History Museum through the month of June.
