A funeral for Edith Rose McGowan, 84, a Carson City resident for the past five years, will be noon Saturday at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 891 Mahogany Dr., Minden.
Visitation will be prior to the service.
Mrs. McGowan died May 14, 2007, in Gardnerville. She was born Sept. 24, 1922, in Susanville, Calif., to Leon Merton and Georgia Bennett.
She worked as a bookkeeper for several federal agencies.
She was a member of the LDS church, Crason Valley 1st Ward.
She was preceded in death by seven brothers and a sister.
Among her survivors are daughter Ginger Miner of Carson City; sisters Mary Bell of San Leandro, Calif. and Ruth West of Ukiah, Calif.; two grandchildren and four great-grandchildren,.
Burial will be at Eastside Memorial Park in Minden.
FitzHenry's Carson Valley Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
