Man arrested for allegedly growing pot near school

A Carson City man was arrested after Carson City Sheriff's Deputies found more than 75 marijuana plants in the second floor of his home, located next to Empire Elementary School.

Isaiah Charles Dondelinger, 24, was arrested at 11:30 p.m. Wednesday in the 1300 block of La Loma Drive on suspicion of felony possession of drug marijuana for sale, possession of a controlled substance with intent to sell near a school, manufacturing drug paraphernalia and misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia.

After obtaining a search warrant and entering the house, deputies found more than 75 plants in various stages of maturity, spread across the entire second floor of the home, according to the arrest report.

Deputies also found grow lamps, rollers, ballasts, fans, water pumps, timers, extension cords and fertilizers.

Dondelinger was released on $25,732 bail.
