A service for Jan Sinclair Johanson, 58, a Twin Falls, Idaho, resident, will be today at the First Presbyterian Church in Twin Falls.

Mrs. Johanson died May 23, 2007, at her home. She was born May 19, 1949, in Twin Falls to James and Orriette Coiner Sinclair.

She graduated from Twin Falls High School in 1967, the third-generation to do so.

She attended the University of Idaho, where she was a third- generation Kappa Gamma.

She married Brent Johanson June 4, 1972, in Twin Falls. In 1969, she went to Paris to study, travel, and live.

Mrs. Johanson taught French in Carson City. She taught Spanish at O'Leary Junior High School and taught and headed her department at Twin Falls High School until her retirement in 2005.

She was involved with the American Legion and enjoyed gardening.

Among her survivors are daughter and son-in-law Kirsten Johanson and Derek Brewer of Twin Falls; sisters and brothers-in-law Rose Ann S. and John Astorquia of Coeur D'Alene, Idaho, and Judy S. Imlay and Bob Williamson of Knoxville, Tenn.; brother and sister-in-law, J. Walter and Kristin Sinclair of Boise, Idaho; and several nieces and nephews.

Memorial contributions may be made to Magic Valley Rose Society, P.O. Box 772, Twin Falls, Idaho 83303; American Legion Girls State, 612 Cindy Drive, Twin Falls, Idaho 83301; or to a charity of choice.

White Mortuary Chapel of the Park is in charge of arrangements.
