A memorial service for Patricia Davison will be today at 10 a.m. at Carson Valley United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Pete Nelson officiating. Services will also be held in Kalispell, Mont., where she lived before moving to Nevada six years ago.

Mrs. Davison died May 25, 2007, at Carson Tahoe Regional Medical Center. It was her 82nd birthday.

She was born May 25, 1925, in Seattle to William and Agnes (Lovejoy) Shannon.

She graduated from Garfield High School in Seattle before attending the University of Washington, and later graduated from George Washington University.

She was active in Eastern Star, Republican organizations, Alpha Phi sorority, church choir, hospital volunteers and many civic and charitable groups. She enjoyed bridge, travel, reading and her family.

She married Dixon Rice, a Navy pilot, in 1945. They had four children before divorcing in 1963. She later married Jim Weatherford and they operated Weatherford Funeral Home. In 1982, she married Marcus Nichols and they lived in Lakeside, Mont., before moving to Kalispell, Mont., where he died from cancer. She married Bill Davison in Kalispell in 2001.

She was preceded in death by her brother, William D. Shannon of Seattle; and sister; Mary George of Honolulu.

She is survived by her husband, of Gardnerville; children Dixon Jr. and Mitzi Rice of Kalispell, Robin and Dave Nelson of Redmond, Wash., Andy and Janice Rice of Minden, Lauren and Brenda Rice of San Diego, Marty and Nona Weatherford of Seattle and Scott Weatherford of Redmond; numerous grandchildren; three great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

FitzHenry's Carson Valley Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
