A service for Joseph T. Husson, 86, a Carson City resident for the past nine years, will be 5 p.m. Thursday at Walton's Chapel of the Valley.

Viewing will be from 5-7 p.m. at the funeral home.

Mr. Husson died May 24, 2007, in Carson City. He was born Oct. 28, 1920, in Bayonne, N.J., to Frank and Mary Kaiser Husson.

He married Sibyl Lyle on Aug. 3, 1957, in Las Vegas.

Before moving to Carson City, he lived in Lancaster, Calif., for many years.

He graduated from Henry Snyder High School in Jersey City, N.J. in 1940 and received a B.S. degree in English history from Rutgers University in 1944.

Mr. Husson was accounts manager for the Western division of United States Gypsum Company for 35 years.

He enjoyed classical music, working crossword puzzles and watching all sports on TV.

He was preceded in death by his wife in 1998, three brothers and stepson Wayne Lyle.

Among his survivors are son and daughter-in-law David and Marguerite of Carson City; daughter-in-law Patsy Stone of Texas; sister Collette Husson of Apple Valley, Calif.; sister-in-law Evelyn Dugan of Arkansas; four grandchildren; three great-grandchildren and numerous extended-family members.

Cremation will be at Walton's Sierra Crematory.
