Marvin Kolar, 74, a Knoxville, Tenn., resident for the past three years, died March 27, 2007. He was born Dec. 31, 1932, in Omaha, Neb., to Edward and Rezack Kolar.

Before moving to Knoxville, Mr. Kolar was a long-time Carson City resident.

He was a plumber pipefitter.

He served in the U.S. Coast Guard from 1951-56.

Among his survivors are daughter and son-in-law Pepsi N. Kolar-White and Richard White; son Marcy; daughter Kelly; seven grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Clicks Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
