The Carson City School Board and member Joe Enge came to an amicable agreement and Enge withdrew in September an open-meeting-law complaint he filed with the Attorney General's Office in August.

Enge had complained that the minutes of an Aug. 14 meeting did not reflect the entirety of the meeting and that comments he'd submitted for inclusion were also omitted from the minutes.

After a meeting with Assistant Attorney General George Taylor, board legal counsel Mike Pavlakis, and Enge, the trio agreed the best resolution would be to include the omitted items in another meeting's minutes and to improve the minute's details.

"A simple recording of the basic issues and positions, for or against, with attribution will meet the open-meeting-law requirements regarding discussions at board meetings and provide the public with an accessible record," Enge said.
