Hazel Lovelene Colvin, a Dayton, Nevada resident passed away at her home on Nov. 8, 2007, she was 84 years old.
Graveside service will be held on Monday, November 19, 2007 at 1:00 p.m. at the Dayton Valley Cemetery.
Mrs. Colvin was born on September 17, 1923 in Wibaux, Montana, the daughter of Charles A. & Elizabeth E. Kartes. She grew up and attended schools in Montana and South Dakota. After graduating High School she went to work as a bookkeeper for a furniture store. She met and married John P. Colvin on August 2, 1947 in Glendive, Montana. The couple lived in Lodi, California from 1947 until 1986 at which time they moved to Lake Tahoe, settling in Dayton, Nevada in 2002. Mrs. Colvin enjoyed Square Dancing, Music.
Mrs. Colvin is survived by her daughter Theresa Beggs and Daughter in law Penny Bren both of Dayton, sister Aldene and her husband Harold "Mac" McClure of Galt, CA, grandchildren Mardy Beggs-Cassin and her husband Norm Cassin, one great granddaughter Morgan Ellen Cassin, as well as one nephew Dean and his wife Donna Bossert. Mrs. Colvin was preceded in death by her husband John P. Colvin on June 2, 2007.
