Maxine LaFavor, age 86, a Carson City resident sine 1999, passed away November 17, 2007 in Carson City.
She was born June 28, 1921 in Pleasant Hill, Missouri. She graduated from Pleasant Hill high school and married her high school sweetheart, John LaFavor on November 25, 1942 in Kansas City, Missouri. Maxine later attended nursing school where she earned her R.N. She worked as a registered nurse for 20 plus years in Missouri and San Diego, California area. She enjoyed traveling with her husband, sewing and devoted her life to her family.
Her husband, John, preceded her in death in 2005 after 63 years of marriage.
Survivors include sons, John of Fremont, CA and Joe of San Francisco, Calif.; daughter, Vickie Meyer of Hawaii, sister, Geraldine Sebolt of Blue Springs, Mo.; four grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
Funeral Services are Wednesday, November 21 at 1:00 p.m. at Walton's Chapel of the Valley with Pastor Bruce Kochsmeier officiating. Burial will follow in Lone Mountain Cemetery.
