Eagle Scout Project 8 a.m.-1 p.m. Saturday at Riverview Park.

The public is encouraged to join this effort to protect trees from being gnawed by beavers and prevent erosion on the banks of the Carson River at Riverview Park, 660 Marsh Road.

There will be opportunities to plant willows, paint trees to discourage beavers from cutting them down and other general cleanup. Parking will be available along nearby residential streets.

This project is organized by Jacob Flansberg and is endorsed by the Carson River Advisory Committee with assistance from the Carson City Parks and Recreation Department. Call 671-2135.
