Hazel Ellen String

Hazel Ellen String passed away peacefully in her home on Oct. 22, 2007.

She was born in Woodbury, Illinois to Raymond and Ollie Perrott. She lived in Carson City for the last 27 years coming from Mountain View, CA. where she lived for 31 years. Hazel was valedictorian of her high school class and attended college in Chicago. She worked as a bookkeeper, turkey rancher and was a secretary at Hewlett Packard and Fairchild Semiconductor. She was an avid reader and volunteered at the Senior Citizens Center in Carson City for the past 6 years.

She was preceded in death by her husband Roger in 2000. Among her survivors are daughters Reda Bushard & husband Jim of Minden; Pam Suchsland & husband Kurt of Carson City; Grandchildren; Eric & Darryl Bushard both of Minnesota, Tim Suchsland serving in the peace corps in Kazakhstan and Stacie Suchsland of Reno. Great granddaughters; Alix, Drew & Paige Bushard.

Celebration of Life will be held on Friday Oct. 26th at 2:00 p.m. at Shephard of the Sierra Lutheran Church (3680 Highway 395 South).

Memorial contributions can be made to Meals on Wheels, 911 Beverly Dr. Carson City, NV. 89706.

Capitol City Cremation is handling the arrangement.
