Flu shots being offered today

Community Flu Shot Clinic will be 2-6 p.m. today at the Carson Mall, 1122 S. Stewart St. The flu clinics are open to everyone and no appointments are necessary. The cost for a flu shot is $25. Change in location for aerobics classes

The Low-Impact Aerobics/Dance class taught by Dr. Thane Cornell meets every Wednesday at 10:45 a.m. in the Nevada Room at the Carson City Senior Center on Long St. A $5 fee allows you to Swing 'N Sway your weight away. All ages are welcome. Contact at 885-0552 or 883-0703 for information.

Costume party at Whiskey Dick's

Late-Nite Productions offers the "Big Pimpin Naughty Halloween Costume Party" at Whiskey Dick's Saloon, 2660 Lake Tahoe Blvd., in South Lake Tahoe at 9 p.m. today. Join people from all around the lake and beyond dressed in their big pimpin' and Naughty Costumes and ready to shake a tail feather.

On the turntables will be San Francisco's DJ True Justice. Tickets are for the 21 and over and are $10 at the door.

Sparks Nugget to host Halloween bash

The inaugural Black Rose Ball is 9 p.m.-midnight Wednesday in the Rose Ballroom at John Ascuaga's Nugget.

A super-sized freak-show dance party, the Black Rose Ball features live entertainment from the area's favorite fiends, Sol Jibe and Keyser Soze, as well as a special guest DJ. Local scaremaster Zomboo from KOLO-TV will host the gala along with his lusciously malefic assistant Miss Transylvania. A $500 cash prize for the best costume highlights an array of scary-good rewards.
