Famous Dave's BBQ team from Plymouth, Minn., won first place at the 19th Best of the West Nugget Rib Cook-off. The 13-member team is run by Mike Bowar, who also won the event two years ago.
Second place was won by Desperado's BBQ & Rib Co., of Hinckley, Ohio; Maui Wowie BBQ Co. of Reno was third; Checkered Pig BBQ of Martinsville, Va., was fourth and Kinder's Custom Meats of Concord, Calif. was fifth.
