Eugene "Gene" Ralph Moore, 79, a Carson City resident, died, Aug. 26, 2007.

Mr. Moore was born Sept. 12, 1927, to Ralph and Eunice Moore, in Campbell, Calif. He was a member of the U.S. Army. He had several home-based businesses. He enjoyed his dog ChaCha, traveling around the United States in his travel trailer, Western novels, and horse racing.

He was preceded in death by his sister Helen Louise Moore Giannotta.

Among his survivors are his sisters Edith DiLeonardo of Sunnyvale, Calif., Wanda French of Mariposa, Calif.; brother-in-law John A. Giannotta of Carson City; nieces Sharon, Sandy, Susan and Shelley; nephews Rob, Ron and Jim; numerous grand and great-grand nieces and nephews.

At his request there will be no services. Inurnment will be at the Northern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Fernley.

Memorial donations in Mr. Moore's memory may be made to a hospice organization.
