Small brush fire burning near quarry in Lockwood

A two- to five-acre brush fire is burning near the Sierra Quarry, in Lockwood.

Three engines from Storey County and one engine from the Nevada Division of Forestry are fighting the blaze with air support from the Sierra Front Interagency Dispatch Center in Minden.

The fire that began at about 2:30 p.m. is likely human caused. No structures are threatened.
