A van parked in a driveway in South Carson caught on fire around 10:30 a.m. Tuesday and caused minor damage to a garage.
No one was hurt.
Patricia Skenandore, 26, said she had just gotten out of her Ford Aerostar at her home at 3300 Cortez St. when the engine "just popped and started on fire."
Carson City Battalion Chief Richard Chrzanowski said an investigator will check the van for any manufacturing defects.
