Drama classes to continue at VC High School

Virginia City High School principal Patrick Beckwith said the drama

department at Virginia City High School will not be disbanded, despite the

departure of popular theater arts teacher Bill Beeson.

Beckwith said the rumors over the disbanding of the drama department and

destruction of costumes and props was a result of miscommunication on his

part.

He said the school discarded a stage that didn't meet Storey County fire

department rules, but would not be discarding the costumes and props.

The drama classes are being taught by a substitute teacher.
