Helen E. Epperson, 90, a yearlong Carson City resident, died Sept. 9, 2007, in Carson City.
Mrs. Epperson was born May 8, 1917, in Oakland, Calif., to James Russell Symes and Clarice Graves.
She married Wayne Phillip Epperson on Dec. 30, 1937, in Fort Bragg, Calif.
Before moving to Carson City, she lived in Dayton for 25 years.
She was a homemaker and charter member of the Calvary Baptist Church in Dayton, where she was active in church activities. She was a lifetime member of the Eastern Star, Argenta Chapter of Virginia City.
She enjoyed crocheting.
Mrs. Epperson was preceded in death by her parents, husband and three grandchildren.
Among her survivors are her sons Charles Epperson of Oregon and Wayne Epperson of Ocean Park, Wash.; daughters and sons-in-law Lenore and Buck Speer of Stagecoach and Nikki and Del Davis of Carson City; daughter Ann Holland of Woodland, Wash.; brother and sister-in-law, Charles and Lori Boyce of Ventura, Calif.; sister and brother-in-law, Carlma and Lee Houweling of Terra Linda, Calif.; 16 grandchildren and numerous great- and great-great-grandchildren.
Services will be held at a later date.
Cremation will take place at Walton's Sierra Crematory.
Walton's Chapel of the Valley is in charge of arrangements.
