The Carson High volleyball team faced the dreaded sandwich match on Tuesday at Morse Burley Gym, but CHS coach Shana Wilkins didn't seem to mind.

Coming off key Sierra League matches with Reno High and Douglas and facing another key league match on Thursday at Damonte Ranch, the Senators warmed up for that showdown with a 25-3, 25-5, 25-10 win over Hug.

Wilkins said the match was good preparation for Damonte. "It was as good as one of our practices," she said.

"I was actually very pleased that we played our game still. Usually we play down to their level. I was very pleased we didn't."
