The names were released Wednesday of the people involved in a six-vehicle accident on South Carson Street on Tuesday afternoon.

According to Nevada Highway Patrol Trooper Scott Simon, a gold Nissan Murano driven by David M. Rogers, 60, of Carson City, was northbound on Highway 395 in the far right lane when it struck the rear of a gold Ford Explorer driven by Celida Montes, 54, of Carson City.

Simon said the Explorer struck a red Chevy Blazer driven by Marla Ann Johnson, 56, of Carson City, and a blue Buick LeSabre driven by Rachelle Lynn Dumas, 22, of Gardnerville.

The Chevy Blazer was pushed north into a brown Chevy van driven by Christina Lynn Werth, 34, of Gardnerville.

The Chevy Van was then pushed into a white Jeep Grand Cherokee driven by Jason Laurence Krueger, 25, of Carson City.

Rogers sustained no injuries, but was transported to the Carson Tahoe Regional Medical Center as a precaution. Dumas also went to Carson Tahoe Regional Medical Center with minor to moderate injuries.

Montes and Johnson were flown by helicopter to Renown Regional Medical Center in Reno with serious injuries, and were listed in stable condition.

Witnesses to the event are encouraged to call NHP at 688-2500 or 687-0400.

Simon said no charges have been filed at this time.
