Douglas volleyball edges Yerington

The Douglas High volleyball team pulled out a hard earned five-game win over Yerington on Wednesday in a nonleague match at Douglas, winning 25-11, 23-25, 25-16, 21-25, 15-10.

Jourdan Burke had 16 kills, six points, eight digs and five blocks, Jessica Waggoner had eight kills, two digs and nine blocks, Bridget Maestretti had five blocks, one point and two digs, Melissa Brown had five kills, six points, one dig, three aces and a block, Taryn Williams had five kills, 12 points, eight digs and three aces, Christine DuPuis had four kills and one point, Megan Mitchell had four kills, two aces, nine points, two digs and 46 assists, Allie Hughes had three kills, three points, two digs and four blocks, Alyssa Todd had two kills and a dig, Mary Lombino had 13 digs and three points, Jordan Marsh had two digs and Mysta Townsell added nine points, two aces and 10 digs for Douglas (23-3)

Douglas won the junior varsity match 2-1.
