Services for Roderick "Red" Johnston-Watson, 101, a resident of Carson City, will be 2 p.m. Saturday at the Well of Worship, 22 Cash Dr., Mound House. Viewing will be 3-5 p.m. Friday at FitzHenry's Funeral Home.

Mr. Johnston-Watson died Sept. 23, 2007, at his residence in Carson City. He was born Jan. 29, 1906, to Joseph Thomas Johnston-Watson and Christina Scotland Stewart in Perth, Scotland. Prior to moving to Carson City he lived in Virginia City. He married his third wife, Sue Ellen, on June 9, 1969, in Laramie Wyo.

He was a cowboy, banjoist, and water colorist. He was a member of the Pony Express Mounted Posse in Virginia City, the Nebraska Country Music Hall of Fame and the Colorado Country Music Hall of Fame.

He was preceded in death by his wife Sue Ellen and two previous wives, Eleanor and Eloise; daughters Marjorie and Eleanor; son, Chuck; three granddaughters, Carolyn, Angela, and Tracy.

Among his survivors are daughters and sons-in-law, Tanya and Ron Millim of Carson City and Barbara and Brian Einarson of Coquitlam, British Columbia, Canada; 20 grandchildren; 36 great-grandchildren; and seven great-great grandchildren.
