Family meeting on gang awareness; live jazz at Dopplegangers

Gang Awareness for Families meeting, 6-8 p.m. at Mark Twain Elementary School, 2111 Carriage Crest Drive.

Carson City parents and their children can learn how gangs attract children and teens; how to interact with your children to reduce their participation in gangs; and the signs to watch out for that indicate your child may be a gang "wannabe" or an actual gang member. Also, information and programs for children, youth and families will be available to answer questions and offer assistance in resolving family issues.
