About New Mexico State: The Aggies took three of four from San Jose State in their only WAC series to date ... The Aggies are hitting .325 as a team, but that's a little bloated because of their home park which yields a lot of long balls ... Nine players are hitting over .300 with a minimum 30 at-bats ... Scaperotta has hammered 11 homers, most of them at home.
About Nevada: The Pack is coming off a 23-1 win over in-state rival UNLV, avenging an earlier 9-4 loss ... This series could come down to how many solid innings Nevada can get in the second game of Saturday's double-header and on Sunday. Nevada has struggled in those two spots in the rotation. Derek Achelpohl and Brock Stassi, who threw four solid innings on Tuesday, are expected to fill those slots this weekend ... nevada is 12-5 at home this season.
