'Pied Piper' seeks child actors


Missoula Children's Theater will be at Seeliger School April 7-11 preparing a presentation of "The Pied Piper." An open audition will be 3-5 p.m., Monday and 50-60 local students will be cast to perform in the production. Rehearsals will be 3-5 p.m. and 5:30-7:30 p.m. Tuesday-Thursday. There will be a performance for Seeliger students Friday afternoon. The show will be performed for the public 6:30-8:30 p.m. Friday. For information, call 841-4191.




Jazz Band to celebrate 7 years


Hear the sensational big-band sound of the Mile High Jazz Band with guest vocalist Jakki Ford 8-10 p.m. Tuesday at Comma Coffee, 312 S. Carson St.


To celebrate the seven-year collaboration, an anniversary cake will be served to patrons at the performance.


General admission is $5 at the door; $4 for members of the Mile High Jazz Band Association and free for age 18 and younger. Swing-dance instruction, 6-7:30 p.m., is $5 additional.

Women's night planned for Tuesday


Women are welcome to attend an evening of fun and education on women's topics at 6 p.m. Tuesday at Z bistro, 725 Basque Way.


Guest speakers are Tookie John of Mikken who will talk about osteoporosis, and Ashleigh Morrison of Platinum Salon.

Jazz singer Milman appears in Fallon


The Churchill Arts Council will present a performance by the Canadian Grammy nominated jazz vocalist Sophie Milman at the Oats Park Art Center, 151 E. Park St., Fallon, at 8 p.m. Saturday. Doors will open at 7 and there will be a no-host bar.

Harveys bringing major rock show


Harveys Lake Tahoe announces the rock show of the summer with Journey, Heart and Cheap Trick on July 12 at the Harveys Outdoor Arena.


Tickets go on sale Monday through Ticketmaster outlets or www.ticketmaster.com or www.apeconcerts.com.


After 30 years of touring and performing, the three groups bring a rocking performance to the Harveys Outdoor Arena.


Tickets range from $49.50-$199.50.
