Come have fun at Attitude's Hair Salon during a hair-raising fundraiser to help the Carson High School baseball team. Salon owner Brandi Plattsmeir is again offering help raising much needed funds.
Come help the CHS baseball team in the second annual cut-a-thon. So please take a moment to support the team and get clipped from some great stylists. There also will be a raffle with the grand prize of a $300 salt-water aquarium.

Carson High Culinary Arts is taking the cake locally, statewide and now nationally. After strong finishes in the ProStart Nevada Championships in Las Vegas - the culinary team finished second and the management team finished first - the group is headed to the national competition April 24-26 in San Diego.
Of course first they must raise $8,000 to attend the national competition. They have scheduled several fundraisers and are accepting donations to help with the trip, including this Friday at Maui Wowi.
The Culinary Arts program it is entirely funded by donations, fundraisers, individuals and local restaurateurs. So thanks to Charlie and Karen Abowd, John Hurzel, owner of Grandma Hattie's, and Mr. Russell as well as his daughter, Jennifer.
Through the generosity of community members, culinary teacher Penny Reynolds is able to keep the kitchen door open.
The recent donation to the Culinary Arts program comes from Gold Dust West, who is gifting all the booths from their restaurant.

The 15th annual Golf Gourmand is right around the corner. This tournament is always tasty and benefits our only local Community Counseling Center.
Everyone is a winner in this tournament.
GOLF GOURMAND SCRAMBLE
What: Four-player scramble includes golf with cart, breakfast buffet, fabulous tee-prizes and lunch after the round. Continental breakfast includes Gin Fizzes.
