Supervisors will vote again on whether to ask citizens in November to raise property taxes for upgrades at the fire and sheriff's departments, though the hike is smaller than the initial proposal.
The board turned down the first proposal last month that would have raised $6 million for the departments " $4 million for the fire department and $2 million for the sheriff's department.
The new proposal would have raised about $2 million, with a slight majority of the money going to the sheriff's department.
The board's meeting is Thursday morning.
