Robert H. Broughton, 79, a 15-year resident of Carson City, passed away April 15, 2008, at his home. He was born October 22, 1928, in San Jose, Calif. to Roy and Gladys Broughton.

Robert had lived in Reno for 16 years before moving to Carson City. He owned and operated B & L Ranch and Lumber in Reno for several years. A very patriotic man, he served our country in the U.S. Army during the Korean conflict. He loved classic cars, working with wood, and bowling. He bowled a 300 game at age 75.

Survivors include his special companion, Toni Stalker of Carson City; two daughters Linda (Ken) Allen and Kathleen (Les) Ensminger all of Carson City; one brother John H. Broughton of West Point, Calif.; four grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

An Inurnment service will be 1 p.m. Friday, in the Mountain View Cemetery, Reno.

Arrangements entrusted to Walton's Chapel of the Valley, Carson City.
