Skinner fire 75 percent contained

The Skinner fire is 75 percent contained and is expected to be fully contained by 8 p.m. tonight, said Reno Fire Spokesman Steve Frady.

Aerial mapping by helicopter today found that 962 acres of land owned by the Bureau of Land Management, Reno and private individuals burned in Tuesday's wind-driven fire sparked by arcing powerlines.

Frady said 250 personnel remain on the fire line. There are no road restrictions in the area at this time.
