Former Carson High baseball coach Ron McNutt has accepted the position as the new baseball coach at Galena. McNutt replaces Tom Flynn, who served as coach for just one year this past season before stepping down.
McNutt was the coach at Carson for 29 seasons (1976-2004) and is the winningest high school coach in Nevada state history. He led Carson to two state titles (1979, 1992).
McNutt also coached the Carson Capitols summer team from 1978-2001.
