Washoe Lake State Park will host beginning Dutch oven cooking and sampling on Saturday, Aug. 16 from 5 p.m. until 8:30 p.m.
Have you ever tried traditional Dutch oven cooking?
Join the State Park Ranger and guest chefs for the experience of preparing, cooking and sampling chow like potatoes, desserts, meat dishes and breads made in a Dutch oven.
Bring your favorite apron and be prepared to do some dutch oven cooking.
Meet in the Main Group Area Pavilion. Program is limited to 40 participants.
Bring a sweater or light jacket because the evenings can be cool.
The park is located on Eastlake Blvd. on the east side of Washoe Lake, 10 miles north of Carson City.
