Bike challenge in Carson today

The Clif Bar 2 Mile Challenge will be in Carson City today at the Carson City Community Center at 3 p.m.

The bus is designed to promote cycling distances within a two-mile radius of your home rather than driving, with the intent of reducing individual environmental impact.

Inside the bus, ou can walk through and map your two-mile radius and figure out how to build a bike that's right for you.

At 7 p.m., there will be a showing of the mountain bike film, "Seasons." Admission is free, but donations will be collected to benefit Muscle Powered.

Jeff Moser of bikecarson.com writes, "Ride your bike there if you can! There should be plenty of places to lock up."
