Today's weather will be sunny and warm with highs 92-102 with light winds becoming northeast around 10 mph in the afternoon.
Tonight, clear with lows 57-67 with west winds around 10 mph in the evening becoming light.
Saturday and Sunday, sunny in the morning becoming partly cloudy with highs in the upper 90s. Overnight lows 56-66 with west winds up to 10 mph.
Road work continues in Carson City with areas of delays, mainly Fairview Drive between Roop Street and South Lompa Lane, primarily between 7 a.m. and 5 p.m., and Highway 50 East between Airport Road and Saliman Road.
On Highway 50 traffic controls are in effect during all hours of the day with lane variations.
The closure of westbound Fairview Drive from Saliman Road to Roop Street is in effect through Aug. 31. Alternate routes of travel are Colorado Street to the south, and Little Lane to the north.
Traffic will be controlled at times; alternate routes are advised.
The Nevada Department of Transportation reports at 6:30 a.m. all roads open with no controls.
