Bryan Clay threw a personal best of 53 feet, 2 1/4 inches in the shot in the third event of the Olympic decathlon in Beijing. Through three events, Clay leads with 2,862 points. The Ukraine's Oleksly Kasyanov is second with 2,717 points.
