William "Bill" David Walkama, beloved son, brother, husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather passed away from complications of diabetes.
He was born in Superior Wyo. to Flora and William Walkama. Bill graduated from Pershing County High School in Lovelock in 1948. He served in the United States Marine Corps for 2 plus years, which took him to Seattle, Wash. There he started his career with Boeing in 1948. Bill was active in the Machinists Union for over 60 years, serving as Organizer, District President, and District Secretary Treasurer with the goal of improving the quality of life for others.
He is survived by wife Phyllis; mother Flora and stepdad Bobby Wigaard; four children William, Carolyn, Cheryl, Daniel; brother Gene Walkama; four stepchildren; 14 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.
Bill was preceded in death by his father William and stepdaughter Carla.
