SPARKS " The Nevada Highway Patrol has identified the victim killed when a pickup truck slammed into a minivan while he was changing a flat tire on Interstate 80 as a 21-year-old California man.
The NHP says Brett Lazzeri of San Jose was one of two men who were changing the tire on another vehicle early Monday when the pickup driven by 44-year-old Kenneth Decker Jr. slammed into the van.
The van was parked behind a Subaru, which had a flat tire.
Authorities say 11 other people were hospitalized with injuries ranging from minor to serious.
An investigation is continuing. No charges have been filed.
