WEST WENDOVER " Authorities say a West Wendover woman is recovering from as many as nine stab wounds suffered in an attack by another young woman at a weekend party.
Eighteen-year-old Latisha Matie Perez of Sparks was arrested Sunday and was being held on more than $50,000 bail on suspicion of attempted murder and related charges.
West Wendover Police Chief Ron Supp says investigators are still trying to determine what prompted the attack at a home Saturday night.
The 19-year-old victim was taken to a hospital in Salt Lake City. Authorities say she is in serious but stable condition.
