The Carson High wrestling team will open is season Wednesday in a Sierra League dual match when it hosts Manogue at Morse Burley Gym.
Junior varsity matches will begin at 5:30 p.m. The varsity contest will begin immediately after what is expected to be a few junior varsity matches to be held.
Manogue is expected to be one of Northern Nevada's top teams this season, but may not be as strong tonight as many of their wrestlers have yet to be certified.
Along with coverage of tonight's contest, the Appeal will feature a preview of the upcoming season for the CHS wrestling team in Thursday's edition.
