John Lubich Sr. of Sun Valley, Nevada passed away after a long illness. John was born in Miami, Ariz. to Jack and Anna Lubich.

John was married to the late Eva P. Keller Lubich of Sun Valley for 42 years before her passing away. John was a teamster most of his life, driving Truck. His last place of employment was Helms Construction of Sparks, Nevada. John also drove trucks for Biggs Crane and Rigging in the Oakland Bay area, and helped build the Bay Area Bart system. John served in the Navy as a Radioman, and was given an honorable discharge in 1946. John and his late wife Eva loved to garden, and raised vegetables at all of their residences. John was a lifelong member of Knights of Columbus in Reno, Sun Valley, Carson City and numerous locations in California and Arizona.

John was preceded in death by his parents, Jack and Anna; his sisters Anna, June and Marion, and his wife Eva.

He is survived by his son and daughter-in-law John and Tammy Lubich of Carson City; daughters Judy Lubich of Reno and Karen Lubich of Sun Valley; four grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, and numerous nephews and nieces in Nevada, California, and Arizona.

Arrangements are being handled by Walton's Chapel of the Valley in Carson City. A Funeral Mass will be 10 a.m., Friday at Little Flower Church in Reno with 4th degree Color Corp of St. Andrew Assembly. Internment will be at Veterans Cemetery in Fernley immediately after the church service.
