Winter storm moving in Thursday

The National Weather Service has advised a winter storm will move into the area late Thursday into Friday.

A deep and cold, low pressure system will move into Eastern California and western Nevada by Thursday night. This storm is expected to move quickly through the area, but still has the potential to drop several inches of snow in the valleys of western Nevada.

Snow is likely for Thursday night with a low around 19 with a west winds between 10-20 mph with gusts up to 30 mph. Chance of precipitation is 70 percent.

Chance of snow for Friday is 50 percent with a high near 29 with a west wind around 15 mph.
