The warm spring weather the region has been enjoying lately will give way to a late winter storm starting tomorrow, according to the National Weather Service.

"It's a late season storm, looks like we could see an inch or two in the foot hills," said Brian O'Hara, a meteorologist with the NWS in Reno. He said snow isn't likely to accumulate in the valleys, but drivers should be cautious of slick road conditions Wednesday morning.

The cold front will move into the region starting Tuesday night, bringing the high temperature on Wednesday down to the lower 40s.

"And then back to normal by the weekend," he said. "It will be a nice weekend, we just need to get through this little brush of cooler weather."
