According to Don and Liz Weirauch of Douglas County, the Angler's Edge at 1506 Hwy. 395 in Gardnerville will be offering fly tying classes for the month of February.

Those classes will teach the students, beginning to intermediate mechanics of fly tying, with some production tying secrets.

All fly tying materials and tools are provided.

The February class will be a two-day class held on Feb. 9 and Feb. 16 (8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.).

Cost is $75 per person and class size is limited.

According to Liz, "Fly-Fishing is a wonderful calming experience. We are happy to share any of our fly-fishing knowledge and experience with others. Students are instructed in casting techniques and the mechanics of the cast, gear, and its usage, knots used, entomology for the area, reading moving water, still water techniques, the difference in flies and the most productive flies for this area. We encourage couples to attend since fly-fishing is an independent sport, but still thoroughly enjoyed with company."

For reservations or information, call the Angler's Edge at 782-4734.
