Name: Tom Rhodes

What he does: Rhodes tries to promote local music as a producer. He works there when he gets off from his regular job and on weekends.


How he started: Rhodes has been playing music and has been interested in recording since he was 8 years old. He said he fell in love with recording when one of his bands recorded an album in 1992. He said he liked how he could be creative and do whatever he could think of.


How he got to this studio: He had rented space at the Connected Church starting in August but was forced out because of the December fire.

His style of production: He said he tries to capture the sound of the musician or band and be true to their style.


His equipment: He has a 32-track Pro Tools system along with a Power Mac G5.


His key to doing a good job: "It's all about being a people person."
