Virginia Luella Tarvin, passed away on February 1, 2008, she was 88 years old.
Virginia was born on November 3, 1919, in Newport, Ky. , the daughter of Roley and Florence Thornberry.
Virginia worked for 30 years as an insurance underwriter for Farmers Insurance Company district office in Merced, Calif. She raised her two children, worked and regularly attended church, which was the center of her life. She worked in Children's Ministries for nearly 30 years. Virginia moved to Gardnerville to be with her daughter ten years ago. When she could no longer safely live alone and her failing health necessitated her need for 24 hour care she moved to Evergreen Mountain View Health Care Center.
She is survived by her daughter Diane McLeroy of Gardnerville and her three grandchildren.
Arrangements are in the care of Autumn Funerals and Cremations.
