Carson man among nine involved in prostitution sting

(Staff Reports) - A Carson City man was among nine people cited or arrested during a recent Reno Police Department undercover prostitution sting on Fourth Street in Reno.

The focus of the operation was on male violators, "johns," who loiter throughout the area for the purpose of soliciting prostitutes for sex, according to RPD Sgt. Brent Teasley of the Regional Street Enforcement Team.

The following subjects allegedly solicited an undercover female officer and were cited or arrested for solicitation for prostitution:

• Michael Pritchett, 32, of Carson City, cited for solicitation

• Alvaro Soltero, 32, of Reno, cited for solicitation

• Delbert Galloway, 50, of Reno resident, cited for solicitation

• Louis Ramirez, 48, of Sparks, cited for solicitation

• John Arnott, 56, of Reno, cited for solicitation

• Kenneth Montgomery, 43, of Reno, cited for solicitation

• John Farrugie, 50, of Sparks, cited for solicitation

• Paul Gianoli, 60, of Reno, cited for solicitation

• Frank Rodrigues, 28, of Reno, arrested for solicitation, sales of an imitation controlled substance and obstructing and resisting.
